Sie wurde f\u00fcr ihre Kunst und ihr humanit\u00e4res Engagement 1997 bereits mit dem United States Kennedy Center Honor ausgezeichnet und gewann viermal einen Grammy, zuletzt 1998 zusammen mit Pierre Boulez und dessen Einspielung von Bart\u00f3ks <em>Bluebeard&#8217;s Castle<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Der geb\u00fcrtige New Yorker Murray Perahia gewann 1972 die Leeds International Piano Competition. Er erlernte sein Handwerk unter anderem mit Mieczyslaw Horszowski und Vladimir Horowitz. Bekannt ist er nicht zuletzt f\u00fcr seine Bach-Interpretationen. F\u00fcr die Henle Urtext Edition betreut er aber auch die Ausgabe der Beethoven-Sonaten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">De Wolf-Stiftung (Wolf Foundation) ist eine staatliche israelische Stiftung, die sich der F\u00f6rderung aussergew\u00f6hnlicher Leistungen in den Bereichen der Wissenschaft und der Kunst widmet. Sie verlieht j\u00e4hrlich die je mit 100&#8217;000 Dollar hoch dotierten Wolf-Preise. Dar\u00fcber hinaus verleiht die Stiftung Preise und Stipendien an ausgezeichnete Studenten und Forschern an Einrichtungen f\u00fcr h\u00f6here Bildung in Israel.
