August 2016 wird er das Festivalorchester im Er\u00f6ffnungskonzert zum ersten Mal leiten \u2013 mit Gustav Mahlers Achter Sinfonie. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Chaillys Vertrag ist auf f\u00fcnf Jahre angelegt und sieht vor, dass er das Orchester in vier bis f\u00fcnf Konzerten w\u00e4hrend der Festivalsommer dirigiert. Claudio Abbado, der das\u00a0Lucerne Festival Orchestra 2003 zusammen mit Intendant Michael Haefliger gegr\u00fcndet und elf Jahre lang geleitet hatte, war am 20.
